I come from a city where there isn't any good Ethiopian food, so I really savor this restaurant whenever I'm in Sac. However, of anywhere I've traveled, Habesha by far has had the best gomen/greens I've tried thus far, and I think it will forever be hard to top. Plus, Mike is pretty cool.

My favorite restaurant in Sac!

Having never had Ethiopian food before I told the owner Mike who was also the only employee there and he served me the most delicious meal I've ever had. He was very gracious host. 50$ for myself and my girlfriend to eat our fill and more and take half home after. I have recommended this place to 2 close friends and now I'm recommending it to everyone.

I wanted to take a better photo but my friends already dug all in it by the time i got to the table. What an experience! Let's start off by saying the owner was such a sweet man! Even if i didn't like the food (not the case but we'll get to that soon.) I would come just to sit and hang out with him. As for the food, when I tell you I've never had my mouth explode with so many different herbs and spices and flavors all at once... and like it. This place did it for me. It's clean, decorative, i didn't go to the bathroom so i can't speak on the upkeep of that, food was great. Will be back soon. Keep this place in business! 👏👏👏

The BEST split yellow peas and injera bread. The injera bread isnt too tangy like most places and has a great texture. GREAT restaurant, especially if you are a vegan and have trouble finding places to accommodate your lifestyle.

Intimate spot. Great spices, generous portions and plenty of seating on what can be a chaotic Valentine's Day.

We are so happy we tried Habesha! There are a great number of vegan options available, and the lentil samosas are the best samosas I've ever had. We had the vegetable combo platter for 2 and some of the Ethiopian beers (they also have a great selection of these). The owner Mike was really nice and was a great host. We are already looking forward to the next time we eat there!
